(978) 251-5151 or Fax (978) 251-5154 Web Site: www.ChelmsfordCommunityEducation.org CLASS SCHEDULE: Classes are typically scheduled twice each year: January through May, then again September through November. COURSE CATALOGUES are mailed in January and August to each home in Chelmsford, North Chelmsford, Billerica, North Billerica, Dracut, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro and Westford. ADD TO OUR LIST: If you do not live in one of the communities listed above and would like to be placed on our mailing list, please contact us (CommEd@Chelmsford.k12.ma.us or 978-251-5151) and specify ADULT ED. mailing list. WHO MAY ATTEND: Enrollment in Chelmsford Community Education classes is open to all. Please note certain classes have age requirements. We welcome participation from other communities. LOCATIONS: Classes are held at Chelmsford High School (CHS), 200 Richardson Road, North Chelmsford, MA, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT: Prior written approval from the student’s principal, dean, or guidance director is required. Individuals who are not currently enrolled in high school should contact CHS. Students’ grades will be mailed upon written request for the semester enrolled. REGISTRATION: There are several options to consider when registering for classes.
Early registration assures you a place in the course and protects against course cancellations due to insufficient enrollment. Once the registration is sent, students should consider their registrations accepted and report to the first class unless otherwise notified. No confirmations are sent, however, you are welcome to call our office to verify receipt. Late registration at the first class will be accepted on a space available basis.
FEES: Fees represent the cost of administering the Chelmsford Community
Education program and have been set to make Community Education self-supporting.
Additional fees for books, supplies, or materials may be listed in
the course description. We reserve the right to cancel any course
with insufficient enrollment. REFUNDS: All fees are refundable if there is insufficient enrollment. Students withdrawing before the first class will be charged a $10.00 processing fee. Students who withdraw following the first class meeting will receive a 50% refund. NO REFUNDS are given for withdrawal after the second class meeting. PARKING: For classes held at Chelmsford High School: ample parking is available behind the building off Richardson Road. HANDICAPPED PARKING IS AVAILABLE IN THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING. CLASS CANCELLATIONS: The decision to cancel evening classes will be made by 2:00 p.m. Check our website or watch Chelmsford Cable Television (Channel 8, 10 or 22) or call the Community Education Office at 978-251-5151.
